Product Description
The key to the VIF system is the patent-pending Vertical Inlaid Fiber micro-cable that TeraSpan has developed. With an outer-diameter of 4 mm and excellent environmental capabilities, this 24 or 12 fiber cable brings fiber connections almost anywhere. TeraSpan's VIF spools are optimized for versatile storage and transport. With the use of a small, custom-built spool dolly, one worker can move over 4 km of cable around single-handedly. Features of the VIF Cable include: Loose-tube micro-cable design All-dielectric design. No grounding required. 24 or 12 fiber count, using Corning SMF-28e enhanced single-mode fiber Extreme temperature range capacity: -40 to +85 °C Portable: a standard 4.2 km VIF spool weighs approx 52 kg (114 lb) and has dimensions of 28 in x 28 in x 13 in Easy mid-span access
